What to Buy on Amazon Prime Day
Your deals cheat sheet for July 11-12, 2023
Hello from the other side of a summer break. I spent the last two weeks ramping up my art practice, specifically, creating 14 new works on paper that I hope to soon make available for purchase as prints and repositionable wall murals. I’ll also be expanding the collection further over the coming months.
Today begins the Amazon Prime Day madness. In 2022, Prime Day deals led to over 60,000 purchases per minute in the US. More than one million pairs of sunglasses and swimsuits were sold.
I spent some time this morning sampling what’s on offer to ensure that I’m not missing out on any mid-summer deals that are too good to be true. Here are some standouts that I wanted to flag (and hopefully save you the time I spent scrolling). Many of these deals are limited in quantity and already approaching sold out status.

Most people own too many kitchen gadgets. (Take it from someone that’s moved four times in four years.) I make these recommendations with an eye towards things that are value-priced or small-scaled and likely to add convenience and delight to your daily routine.

Plastic meal prep containers, $20 for a 50-pack. It seems silly to invest in what you get for free at most restaurants that partner with third-party delivery services like DoorDash and UberEats. But eventually, you end up with a mismatched assortment and finding the right lid to the container becomes wasted time. Solve your problems with magically matching food storage containers. Note: I don’t like to heat plastics like this in the microwave due to health concerns.
Milk frother, $7.99 and a lifetime supply of turmeric lattes will be waiting for you. Also has potential to be an unsung hero of mocktail-making.

Home Organization
A few ideas to make your life a little more tidy.
Velvet hangers, 24% off the 50-pack. If your closet is stressing you out, organizing your clothes by type, season, or color, might help. And to reduce visual cacophony, invest in matching hangers.
